Inspiriert vom «Landboten», der sich letzten Samstag in «Grossstadtbote» umtaufte, könnte ich mich nun so nennen, wie es im Titel steht. Schliesslich wohne ich nun in einer Grossstadt, ohne selbst etwas dazu beigetragen zu haben (wobei das nicht ganz stimmt – ohne mich wäre nicht Isabelle Kotchian die 100’000ste Einwohnerin, sondern Angela Pestalozzi).
Wie auch immer, jedenfalls gab es gestern ein schönes, zwölfminütiges Feuerwerk, für das wir von unserem Balkon aus einen Logenplatz hatten. Gratulation Winti!

It’s not about age, but about inhabitants. The party and the fireworks was to celebrate the 100’000th resident, who moved in ten days ago. I don’t know if it is international that cities with more than 100’000 inhabitants are called major cities. But in Switzerland, that obviously the case. There was free beer at the party… Too bad that you have missed that! 😉
Oh, that was a new Status for the city! 🙂 No worries, when I’m going to visit Switzerland I’ll definitely visit Winterthur, too. And even if I’ll have to pay for my beer, I’ll anyway have a nice time there, I’m sure 😉
